He mentioned that advanced tools like C4C and CPQ can be used for more advanced functionalities. Finally, Parminder discussed the importance of the outbound delivery document in the sales and distribution process, explaining that it serves as a trigger for the fulfillment team to manage their activities and ensure timely delivery to the customer.
SAP SD Training and Process Overview
Parminder introduced the end-to-end OTC process and the shared area between finance and spst. He also mentioned the upcoming SAP SD batch sales and distribution batch. Agastya, a senior consultant and solution architect, was introduced to lead the SAP SD training. Agastya explained the SAP system, its components, and the process of creating a sales inquiry. He also mentioned the importance of defining the structure of a company and the significance of the sales organization in the SAP system.
Sales Order Creation Process Overview
Agastya discussed the process of creating a sales order, from inquiry to invoice. He explained that an inquiry can turn into a quotation, and a quotation can turn into an order. He demonstrated how to create an inquiry, a quotation, and an order, and how to check for completeness in each step. He also showed how to create a delivery and an invoice, and how to check the financial documents generated. Agastya emphasized the importance of checking all details before saving each document.
Becoming a SAP SD Consultant
In the meeting, Agastya and Parminder discussed the process of becoming a SAP SD consultant. They explained the importance of understanding the business scenarios and the significance of the sales organization, distribution, channel division, and other structures. Parminder also outlined the roadmap for becoming a SAP SD consultant, which includes two workshops, access to the SAP system, and a comprehensive course on SAP SD. He emphasized the importance of hands-on experience and practice for interviews. Parminder also mentioned the availability of a mentorship program, mock interviews, and additional resources like mind maps and content libraries. He assured the participants that with decent communication and following the path provided, there is no reason they cannot become successful consultants.
